In Their Words: Frances Verbois

Dear Tanque Verde Neighbor,

We chose to live in the Tanque Verde Valley 22 years ago because of its
outstanding schools. That excellence continues today in our district.
We have the opportunity to support this tradition in the upcoming
election by voting ‘yes’ for Proposition 446.

Proposition 446 allows our district to continue programs that provide
our children with a well-rounded education that makes us unique and
academically successful. Without override funding, Nurses, Art, Music,
P.E. and Library programs will be in jeopardy. Despite huge cuts in state
funding, TVUSD has a strong gifted program, AP classes, sports activities
and CTE programs, all of which enrich our students’ educational
experience.

TVUSD is fiscally responsible, spending more money in the classroom
than any other district in Pima County. Most importantly, a ‘yes’ vote
for the override will NOT increase taxes.

TVUSD needs your support to continue to prepare our children to be
successful, caring and productive members of society. I strongly believe
that a positive outcome on Proposition 446 is a huge step towards
achieving this goal. I thank you in anticipation of your support!

Frances J. Verbois

In Their Words is a series in which we share letters written in support of the Budget Override and Bond ballot measures. These letters will appear in the Voter Information Packet provided by Pima County to voters. We will also include original missives by members of the Tanque Verde community.
